Really nice jacket for the money, sizing runs a bit large though and its really stiff.

Excellent even in higher temps. Have ridden with this jacket in over 90* and when moving there is great airflow to help keep you cool. Over 1 year in and the jacket has held up well and has great crash protection.

Love this jacket! It's been with me for only a few thousand miles so far but has been great in all weather.

I decided to try the MSR Explorer when I heard about them and a review from Dork In The Road's YouTube channel. I was prepared to get a Klim Badlands Pro. After discussion with customer service at Rocky Mountain I went for a large, medium would probably have fit with just a shirt under it, I have a 40" chest measurement but living in Saskatchewan I always need at least one layer under it for the beginning and end of the riding season here so I went the the large size. It was good that I did get the large because I would not have got a heated liner on under the medium. It seems to fit well with my heated liner under it and could probably get one more base layer on and be fairly comfortable without being stuffed into it like a sausage casing. So in my opinion the sizing on the jacket may run a little small in regards to allowing layers under it, and my being at the top end of the M. I would suggest putting on everything you want to layer under it and then measuring to determine size.
